About

“I was told I needed heart surgery and a hip replacement. I needed neither!”

Andrew was facing two prognoses at once: heart surgery, and a hip replacement. Both were presented as necessary. He refused both — not out of stubbornness, but because he wanted to understand what was actually happening to his body first.

He went back to his biology and biochemistry background and started working through the underlying mechanisms: what actually drives joint inflammation, what affects heart health, and what determines weight and energy levels. Rather than treating the diagnoses as fixed outcomes, he treated them as problems to work through — figuring out what could realistically be changed through diet and lifestyle, and what couldn’t.

Over time, and without surgery, his joints improved, his heart health improved, and his weight came down too. None of it happened overnight, and none of it involved a single trick — it was the result of consistently changing what was actually changeable.

Andrew’s not a doctor, and he doesn’t present himself as one; His background is in biology and biochemistry. He worked as a high school science teacher, and competed internationally as an athlete. That’s the lens he brings to health: Understanding physiology and metabolism, then reasoning from mechanism, not from trend.

What That Became

Documenting his own recovery — the science behind it, not just the results — became a habit, then a YouTube channel. That channel has grown into an archive of more than 500 videos and a community of over 68,000 Subscribers. What Andrew does now, through coaching, follows the same principle that got him through his own diagnoses: understand the mechanisms first, then change what’s actually changeable.
